Moxhull Hall Wedding Photographers
Beautiful light-filled wedding photography at Moxhull Hall
Tucked away on Holly Lane in Sutton Coldfield, you'll find a charming venue that's just perfect for any celebrations I've been visiting this gem for several years now and it's easily one of my top picks in the West Midlands.
Are you planning your wedding at the beautiful Moxhull Hall and need a photographer to capture your special day? Hi, I'm Jordan, the proud owner and lead photographer at Jordan Fox Photography. Let me share with you the magical moments from Rachel and Rian's recent wedding at this gorgeous venue. You'll see why it's such a favourite of mine!
Bridal Preps at Moxhull Hall
On this particular day, I was booked for the full wedding experience - my comprehensive 9-hour package, which typically kicks off a couple of hours before the ceremony. My day began with a leisurely stroll around the beautiful, always impeccably maintained gardens.
Next, it was time to join Rachel in the bridal suite as she prepared for her big day, surrounded by her wonderful bridesmaids. With the sun casting a warm glow, it was the perfect opportunity to take her bridal gown outdoors for a few stunning photos.
Once the girls had their hair and makeup flawlessly done, it was time for a little celebration. In their matching pyjamas, we raised a toast to the beautiful day ahead. It was a lovely moment, filled with anticipation and joy.
Then it’s time for Rachel to slip into her wedding dress - it's always a genuinely lovely moment as her bridal bunch reacts to the beautiful bride.
Next on the agenda, I rendezvous with our groom, Rian, who is busy welcoming and mingling with guests. Amidst the lively chatter, I take the opportunity to capture a few portraits of him alongside his groomsmen.
I return to Rachel and I'm just in time for her immediate family to see her for the first time again, it's a memorable photograph opportunity and we capture some natural and posed pictures.
The Ceremony at Moxhull Hall
Today's ceremony is set to unfold in the enchanting Secret Garden. Nestled amidst the lush palms and ferns, the Secret Garden is a verdant paradise tucked away in the heart of Moxhull Hall's expansive grounds. With an elegant yet bohemian vibe, it provides the perfect backdrop for Rachel and Rian as they exchange their heartfelt vows under the charming wooden gazebo.
I always love an outside ceremony as I favour natural light for my wedding photography. And here's a small detail that might have flown under the radar for some, but certainly didn't escape my notice - the thoughtful inclusion of a microphone for the celebrant during the service. It's so important that every cherished word is heard by all, and I must say, it was wonderful to see Moxhull taking care of this often-overlooked detail.
The Drinks Reception at Moxhull Hall
The ensuing couple of hours were a delightful blend of candid snaps and carefully posed portraits. The ambience was truly heartwarming, thanks to our joyous couple who had arranged for an Irish duo to liven things up with a few jigs. We had some group photos taken, and then it was a special time for Rachel and Rian as we captured some romantic shots. And if anyone needed a little guidance, no worries! I was always more than happy to help out with tips on posing, where to look, or just some friendly encouragement.
Next, I popped into the Oak Hall, the beautiful setting where our wedding breakfast and speeches were set to unfold. Before the guests started to arrive, I took a moment to capture a few detailed shots of the tables and the room. These images would serve as a lovely reminder of the intricate details that made the special day truly unique.
The Wedding Breakfast at Moxhull Hall
Part of the joy and anticipation of any wedding day is, of course, the wedding breakfast. By this time, friends and family are usually quite hungry and looking forward to a delicious meal! Before I sneak away for a quick break, I make sure to capture the newlyweds' grand entrance into the Oak Hall. Then, it's time for everyone to settle down and enjoy three mouthwatering courses before the speeches begin.
I take advantage of this pause in the day to review the photographs I've taken so far, recharge a few camera batteries, and most importantly, grab a bite to eat myself.
The Speeches at Moxhull Hall
Being a part of wedding speeches is always a joy! There's something incredibly heartwarming about hearing those raw, candid, and often funny moments which ensures memorable wedding photography.
Our best man certainly knew how to keep the crowd entertained! Armed with a few amusing props and a great sense of humor, he had everyone in fits of laughter.
The Evening Reception at Moxhull Hall
Naturally, there's a gear change as the carbs (and alcohol) kick in, so guests wander around the grounds and beautiful gardens catching up with the bride and groom with a few selfies. The evening reception will take place in The Starlit Marquee where are band our running their sound checks plus there's a fun photo booth to keep guests entertained.
Our groom and his new wife enter the marquee (after an impromptu game of beer pong) to thunderous applause and we lead straight into the cake cutting and first dance led by the Moxhull Hall team. Friends gather round to get their own snaps and then it's time for the band to kick off the evening.
It was always fun to witness the transition of our daytime guests, from their reserved demeanours to becoming the life and soul of the party on the dance floor! I finish my day by grabbing the crazy shapes on the dance floor.
