Weston Hall Wedding Photographers
Here's a recent wedding from a full-day wedding photography package at Weston Hall. I was booked from the bridal preparations through to the evening reception to capture Carrie and David's magical day in Spring. Let me take you through their wedding day at this popular Staffordshire Wedding venue.
Getting Ready
I arrived around two hours before the ceremony. Upon arrival, I take a stroll around the grounds to note any changes, venue styling, and other details. Having photographed numerous wedding receptions at Weston Hall, I still find it essential to familiarise myself with the venue each time.
I discover our beautiful bride in the honeymoon suite, surrounded by her family and bridesmaids as they have their hair and makeup. There's no sense of urgency here; we have ample space, time, and even a glass of bubbly. I take this opportunity to capture some relaxed and candid photos with the wedding dress taking focus!
I step into the wedding breakfast room, the Westminster Suite, to capture a few detailed shots. I then join David, who is remarkably relaxed and effortlessly plays the perfect host as the wedding guests begin to arrive.
The Wedding Ceremony
If you're getting married at Weston Hall, there are a few locations to have your ceremony. Today we were in the Shrewsbury suite on the top floor. It's a compact space perfect for an intimate wedding reception.
Friends and family gathered for an amazing ceremony and on exchange of a few vows and rings, Carrie and David were announced husband and wife.
The Drinks Reception at Weston Hall
Fortunately for Carrie and David on their special day, the weather was perfect, allowing the drinks reception to be held on the Terrace. Guests were entertained by a talented singer who even invited a few backing vocalists to join her! Ensuring your guests have a great time, especially during the cocktail hour, is crucial as it helps them transition smoothly into the rest of the wedding celebrations.
Group Photos and Portraits
Based on your needs, we utilise the drinks reception to capture various group shots and, most importantly, beautiful portraits of the happy couple. The couple's preferences guide me in determining the session's intensity, ranging from candid moments to a more focused photography experience. Since each couple has unique photography requirements, I'm always eager to accommodate their wishes. Carrie looks so elegant and has a lovely classic look. David is full-on fun - the life of the party!
Speeches at Weston Hall
Guests are warmly welcomed into Westminster to celebrate the newlyweds. I always recommend saving speeches for after the meal, as guests can often wait for their food. Keeping them engaged and content is essential, especially on such a lengthy day. I take this time to pop into the cellar restaurant to review the photos and recharge my batteries. Guests are treated to more entertainment during the wedding breakfast with singing waiters, which never fail to get your guests interacting and having fun.
After dinner is served, I'm back in to capture the speeches on the big day.
The Evening Reception at Weston Hall
As guests relax before the evening reception, they step outside to enjoy the final rays of sunlight, while I effortlessly capture more photos as the evening guests arrive. I'm typically there for around 9 hours and this allows me to capture the cake cutting, first dance and then a little dance floor action as the night draws to a close.
