The Pear Tree Purton Wedding Photos
A full wedding day at The Pear Tree
It was a delightful experience venturing to a Swindon-based wedding venue for the first time during Emily and Paul's Spring wedding. Let's take a heartwarming trip down memory lane together, as I guide you through their wedding day - from the tender moments captured during the preparation process, all the way to the joyous celebration on the dance floor!
Bridal Prep at The Pear Tree
I like to arrive around two hours before the ceremony - this ensured we had ample time to fully appreciate all the wonderful aspects of the wedding venue. I leisurely strolled around the grounds, conducting a quick recce to spot potential locations for the portrait and group shots.
Along the way, I managed to take in and capture some of the unique details that made Emily and Paul's wedding so distinctive and special.
Next, I made my way up to the Cascade to check in on Emily. Drenched in natural light, the room was adorned with floor-length mirrors and individual dressing tables - just perfect for those final touches. There she was, in the company of her chief bridesmaid, getting her makeup and hair done. I simply let the experts work their magic while I focused on capturing these beautiful moments..
The Ceremony at The Pear Tree
This unique wedding venue had a choice of either an indoor ceremony in the Blossom or an outdoor ceremony under the Garden Pavilion. We found ourselves in the Blossom!
Despite seating up to 150 guests, had a wonderfully intimate feel to it. I found my spot next to our eager groom, just as Emily made her grand entrance through the open doors at the back. My second photographer was strategically positioned at the rear of the Blossom room, capturing the scene from a different perspective. The room was bathed in beautiful light, which as a wedding photographer, I knew was crucial for capturing the best shots.
The wedding service was an absolute delight, filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt moments.
The Drinks Reception at The Pear Tree
We swiftly organised the guests for the fun confetti shot, followed immediately by glasses of champagne for everyone! We gave friends and family time to shower their congratulations on the newly married couple before transitioning into a few group photos. Then came the special portraits of Emily and Paul. As always, the amount of time we spent on this part was entirely up to the couple - some prefer to keep it brief, while others love to luxuriate in their photo session.
The Pear Tree was a treasure trove of picturesque backdrops for our photo session. Whether it was posing against the iconic honey-hued Cotswold stone, making a grand descent down the garden staircase, frolicking through the vineyard, or nestled among the beautifully manicured gardens, we were spoilt for choice with stunning photography options. It truly was a photographer's paradise.
The Wedding Breakfast at The Pear Tree
The festivities naturally meandered into the sun-kissed Orangery. Guests found their seats under the breathtaking skylights, eagerly awaiting the wedding breakfast.
I managed to capture the bride and groom's grand entrance, met with cheers and warm smiles before the waiting staff paraded in with the mouth-watering food.
This presented a wonderful chance for me to recharge my batteries, sift through the beautiful photos taken thus far, and enjoy the gorgeous meal so graciously provided by Emily and Paul.
I made my way back to the Orangery for the wedding speeches - always a heartwarming highlight at weddings. It was a moment brimming with both tears and smiles, a perfect balance of joy and sentimentality.
The Evening Reception at The Pear Tree
Our special day gently eased into a more laid-back rhythm before the evening reception began. With exclusive use of the venue, guests took full advantage of the picturesque grounds for their selfie sessions and relaxed downtime. I meandered about, capturing these genuine, unscripted moments. Soon, it was time for the ceremonial cake-cutting, followed by the first dance.
This unfolded in the Bartlett Bar and Lounge, which magically transformed into an amazing party hub. We were treated to a live band, setting the perfect tone for some spirited dancing - a part of the day I absolutely adore. Witnessing the transformation of our once-reserved day guests into vivacious party enthusiasts made for some truly delightful wedding photography. It was simply wonderful to see everyone letting loose and having a great time.
I concluded by popping outside where many had located the pizza - the perfect partner for dancing (or soaking up alcohol).
Conclusion
The Pear Tree is a wonderful modern wedding venue - a superb location to host your love story. This stunning Wiltshire wedding venue is a charming blend of contemporary facilities and timeless elegance. With picturesque grounds, exceptional cuisine, and top-notch service, it's no surprise that Emily and Paul chose the beautiful Pear Tree for their special day.
