Manor Hill House Wedding Photographers
Claire & Ashley’s summer wedding at Manor Hill House, Bromsgrove.
Some venues you photograph once and remember for years. Manor Hill House is one of them, a country house set in its own landscaped grounds near Bromsgrove, with rolling views of the Worcestershire countryside and a choice of ceremony spots that each feel completely different. It has quietly become one of my favourite places to photograph a wedding.
This was my second time capturing a Manor House wedding in Worcester’s green belt, and Claire and Ashley’s day showed off everything the venue does well, the gardens, the marquee, the light, and a few unforgettable characters (Ed the horse included). If you are looking at Manor Hill House weddings and wondering how the day flows, this is exactly how it unfolds.
I photograph weddings right across the county, so if you would like to see how I work across Worcestershire, you can. But for now, let me walk you through Claire and Ashley’s day, from the first quiet moments of the morning to the last dance under the marquee lights.
Manor Hill House · The Morning
Bridal Preps
I always arrive a couple of hours before the ceremony, and Manor Hill House gives you a beautiful, light-filled bridal suite to spend that morning in. Claire was being pampered by her hair and makeup team, surrounded by her bridesmaids in matching silk pyjamas, the kind of relaxed, happy morning that makes for the loveliest bridal prep photos.
These early hours are where the small details live, the dress, the bouquet, the exchange of gifts, and time-honoured touches like the bride’s garter going on. It is also when the day’s energy starts to build, and I quietly capture it all as the venue receives its final touches.

Manor Hill House · The Ceremony
The Ceremony
Vows on the lawn, in front of the flower-dressed gazebo.
Claire and Ashley chose to marry on the expansive lawn, in front of the gazebo our florist had dressed in trailing foliage. Ashley held his emotions together admirably as Claire made her way down the aisle on her father’s arm, and the whole ceremony had that warm, open-air feel that Manor Hill House does so beautifully. These are the Manor Hill House wedding photos couples come back to again and again, the vows, the rings, the first moments as newlyweds.

Manor Hill House · Drinks Reception
The Drinks Reception
With the ceremony done, the celebration spilled out into the grounds for the drinks reception. This is where Manor Hill House really comes into its own, guests spread across the gardens, children running about, and of course Ed the horse looking on from his stable, never one to miss the party.
I spend this part of the day quietly documenting it all, the reunions and warm hugs, the laughter, and the little moments between guests that make each wedding feel like nobody else’s.

Manor Hill House · Portraits
Portraits & Groups
A relaxed wander through the grounds, just the two of you.
The couple portraits are a moment that belongs entirely to Claire and Ashley. We took a slow wander through the grounds, no rush and no stiff posing, just the two of them, the fields, and the soft light Manor Hill House is made for. Ashley even stopped to help Claire into her wellies, the kind of unguarded moment that ends up being everyone’s favourite. These are some of the Manor Hill House wedding photos I am proudest of.

Manor Hill House · The Breakfast
Breakfast & Speeches
The Manor Hill House marquee is a sight in itself, elegant chandeliers, draped walls, and clear windows that flood the room with natural light. Claire and Ashley were welcomed in by a room full of cheering guests, and after the meal came the speeches, that heartfelt whirlwind of smiles, tears and laughter.
The best man had the room in stitches, and there was a lovely quiet moment as Claire caught her father’s eye across the table. These are the beats of the day I always love to photograph, real and unposed.

Manor Hill House · The Evening
The Evening Reception
Cake, the first dance, and a marquee full of light.
As the light softened, guests found cosy corners to catch their breath before the evening kicked off. Then came the cake, the first dance under the lit marquee, and a dancefloor that did not empty until the very end. Claire and Ashley had live musicians and a DJ, and the room stayed full all night. These late hours are some of the most joyful Manor Hill House wedding photos of the whole day.

Your Manor Hill House Wedding
Claire and Ashley’s day showed off everything I love about Manor Hill House weddings, the gardens, the marquee, the easy warmth of the place, and yes, Ed the horse. It is a Manor House wedding venue near Bromsgrove that keeps climbing my list of favourites, and the reviews from couples who marry there tell the same story. If you are planning your own Manor Hill House wedding, I would be glad to be the one behind the camera, capturing it exactly as it unfolds.
