The Bridal Preps at Pendrell Hall

With exclusive use, a wedding at Pendrell hall offers an intimate space for our bridal preps.I usually arrive a couple of hours before the ceremony, taking a relaxed stroll around to admire and capture the unique details and personal touches that the lovely couple has added to their special day.

Next, I head upstairs where I find Alice and her bridal party mid-transformation. Even at this stage, they're already looking absolutely stunning. I can hardly wait to see their final, picture-perfect look!

Next, I get to snap some candid, editorial-style photos. No need for instructions here - I simply let the girls enjoy their moment. Then, it's time to meet the dashing groom and his sharp-looking groomsmen downstairs. Usually, by this time, they're all suited up and ready. I arranged a few posed shots and, let me tell you, these guys are natural in front of the camera!

There were a few lively kids making the most of the spacious lawn outside, having a blast on the garden tree swing. Did I sneak in a quick turn myself? Perhaps I did!

Today's ceremony will take place inside so I jump in before everyone arrives. The white satin chairs, the pretty aisle flowers (all gypsophila)... they're giving off such a clean, classical vibe.

As our guests start to trickle in and Rikhi and the team are busy with their warm welcomes, I sneak upstairs to check on the ladies. And wow, they look stunning! Alice's dad is called upon to fetch his darling daughter, and when he sees her decked out in her wedding finery, his smile stretches wider than the Milky Way! It's such a heartwarming sight!

Friends and family are now seated in the ceremony room (The Morning Room) and our bridesmaids lead the line down the stairs in preparation for the "I do's"! Exciting times!

The Ceremony at Pendrell Hall

There are three ceremony options for a Pendrell Hall wedding:

An outdoor ceremony option and two indoor. For this wedding, we're in the Morning Room.

The Morning Room - it's simply breathtaking! It's got these two deep bay windows that offer a stunning view of the manicured lawns and the gorgeous parkland setting. Our expectant groom awaits as the bridal party (looking divine in blush satin dresses) make their entrance and I capture the mix of emotions; smiles, tears, and that's just me :-)
Rikhi whispers something into Alice's ear as she approaches - not sure what he said, but it definitely seemed to help calm his nerves!

It was a beautiful intimate ceremony with one of the bridesmaids giving a heartfelt reading plus the exchange of vows and I found myself ready to capture that all-important first kiss moment. The guests were equally excited, eager to snap their own photos of the delightful new Mr & Mrs Bhella. After the ceremony, our happy couple walked down the aisle to thunderous applause, ready for their celebratory glass of champagne!

The Drinks Reception at Pendrell Hall

We head out onto the private driveway to set up the confetti shot next to the fountain wall before our guests head to the stunning gardens to congratulate Alice & Rikhi, grab a drink and discover the rest of the venue. During this time, I steal the bride and groom for some portraits with immediate bridal party members. And let me tell you, they all looked incredibly glamorous and we had so much fun creating memorable wedding photography.

I'm always ready to guide my couples through these portrait sessions if needed. I even have a few sneaky tips up my sleeve to help couples relax and really enjoy the moment. Of course, we always tailor this session according to the couple's wishes and how many photos they'd like. But guess what? Our beautiful couple today needed hardly any encouragement at all! They were naturals in front of the camera and their love for each other simply shone through!

The Wedding Breakfast at Pendrell Hall

Our stunning ballroom, which is not only available for your wedding ceremony but also for your wedding breakfast, is a perfect blend of classic elegance and glam. With plenty of mirrors adding a dash of sparkle, it's just the right setting to make your special day even more memorable.

As the bride and groom make their grand entrance into the Ballroom, our guests find their seats, buzzing with anticipation for the speeches. As a wedding photographer, this part of the day always brings a sparkle to my eye. I can't wait to see what surprises await us all – be it funny anecdotes, heartfelt confessions, short and sweet words, or longer narratives filled with props and creativity. I've witnessed a myriad of memorable moments! Capturing the spontaneous reactions is what makes each wedding a distinctive celebration..

The ballroom (which is also available for your wedding ceremony) provides a classic and elegant space for your wedding breakfast with plenty of mirrors for a touch of glamour - it was perfect for this wedding

Evening Reception at Pendrell Hall

As our guests leisurely conclude their wedding breakfast, there's a charming and gentle ease in the pace, creating a serene interlude before we kick off our lively evening festivities.

Guests are in full selfie mode - a particular favourite photograph opportunity of mine! There's a photo booth to keep guests occupied before the cake-cutting and first dance.

When I photograph weddings, my approach is a delightful mix of laid-back photography with a handful of stylishly posed portraits. I had an absolute whirlwind of a time with Alice & Rikhi, and what better way to round off such a joy-filled day than by snapping some vibrant photos on the dance floor?

Conclusion

Pendrell Hall weddings are nothing short of magical, offering enchanting backdrops and a tranquil ambience that makes every wedding feel like a fairy tale. As a wedding photographer, it's always a delight to step into this captivating venue, with its timeless grace and countless picture-perfect spots.

Whether you're the lucky bride, the dashing groom or a cherished guest, every moment at Pendrell Hall is infused with happiness, love, and the promise of unforgettable memories. Each wedding here is truly one-of-a-kind, reflecting the unique love story and personality of the couple, adding their own chapter to the history of the Hall.

I consider it a real treat to be able to capture these precious moments and contribute to a couple's big day at Pendrell Hall. Honestly, it's hard to think of a more perfect backdrop for your wedding than this beautiful setting.
