Greenery Wedding Theme

Wedding Inspiration For Couples Wild About Each Other

February Mood Board

It’s finally February!

This month’s mood board has me dreaming of spring, warmer days and fresh green tones.

As a wedding photographer I have seen hundreds of wedding themes over the years and I honestly believe the simpler the better when it comes to styling your day.

That isn’t to say you won’t be putting a tonne of thought of effort into it, after all it’s your chance to let your personalities shine and showcase the things that are important to you as a couple.

It does however mean that your wedding photos won’t age badly – gorgeous greenery never goes out of fashion!

Timeless!

Greenery as a wedding theme is beautiful and timeless. ‘Greenery’ was Pantone’s colour of the year in 2017 but you can’t go wrong with including fresh foliage in your wedding, whatever the year and wherever you are getting married.

Even if you are having an urban wedding, greenery can be used to soften the edges and provide a well rounded and even feminine aspect.

The perfect complement for beautiful photos!

There’s a reason that wedding venues in the UK and beyond have beautifully landscaped gardens or are set in woodland etc – greenery provides a stunning, simple backdrop for wedding portraits – the soft greens photograph beautifully and don’t detract from your couple portraits or your wedding dress!

Not all greenery is the same, which means you can incorporate whatever foliage is local to your wedding – if you are getting married in Italy for example, why not include olive branches into your décor or even have olive leaves as your confetti – so pretty and stylish!  If you are having a destination wedding someplace tropical then why not include some tropical foliage into your wedding bouquet?  Choosing greenery as a theme also means that your florist will take care of most of the décor – leaving you to relax and get to planning the other aspects of your day!
